SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH

Once there lived a man named 'Billy Bray'. However, people called him 'glory man' because he kept praising and glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ always. He was a drunkard before receiving the salvation experience. While going to office or when at home he was found in a drunken stupor. His wife who kept awaiting his return home, would go in search of him if he does not turn up only to find him lying in a gutter. She would then carry him back home. However, after receiving the salvation experience every moment he started praising God saying 'Halleluiah" and 'glory to God". Therefore, people called him by a new name that is 'glory man". By the grace of God we all are saved. It is stated in the Bible, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God," Ephesians 2:8
Similarly, when the ark of God entered the city of David, king David also danced and praised God. He was not bothered about anybody there but his attention was focused on God. So also, we are called to magnify the Lord Jesus Christ every moment of our life (Psalm 34:1). The salvation experience is a unique and greatest gift granted to us – His children.
My mother fasted and prayed not only for the well-being of her family but she also prayed that her relatives and everyone living near her place should come into the fold of our loving Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today, God has answered the prayers of my mother. Though my mother was not able to witness this, her prayers has brought all the members of her family, her relatives into His fold and has enabled us to do the ministry as well. The experience of salvation is indeed a blessed one. The Lord Jesus Christ who made this possible for my family would surely make it come to pass in your life as well.
Therefore, on this day plead for God to bless you with the experience of salvation. God keenly listens to those prayers that are offered with fasting. The Bible says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household" Acts 16:31. On this day, let us place our trust in our Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.
Prayer:
Loving Lord
On this day I submit myself to praise and magnify You every moment of my life. Let my lips always offer the fruit of thanksgivings. At this moment I offer praises to Your holy name. I thank You for all the wondrous acts You have performed in my life. May my heart be filled with gratitude and help me to obey You always. Help me to hold on firmly to Your word and to follow You. Let Your goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life. You have promised that I will not lack in any good thing when I seek You diligently. Prosper all my efforts on this day and make me happy.
In Your matchless name I pray.
