Daily Meditations # 9 Monday 5.12.11
Luke 5:17-26
" And when Jesus saw ( their confidence in Him,springing from ) their faith, He said ,Man, your sins are forgiven you " Luke 5:20
The man was in desperate need of a cure. He wanted to be healed at any cost. He and his friends had complete faith that only Jesus will be able to heal him. They were prepared to go to any lengths to come near Jesus. They put their faith in action by entering the crowded room through the roof and when Jesus saw their faith He at once forgave the man's sins and healed him. This is the kind of active and persevering faith that God wants us to have. Through sincere and heartfelt prayer we can come close to God.
