The first reading graphically conveys God's romantic love for us. Each one of us is God's , most beautiful beloved,and hence there is nor reason for us to HAVE A LOW SELF-ESTEEM OF OURSELVES. We are much valued and precious no matter what the world says of us. Like any other human lover God also expects us to respond to His ardent love. Mary the virgin mother of Jesus generously responded by saying 'YES ' to God's request and believed in her heart the message announced to her by the angel Gabriel.She willingly and lovingly became the human bride of God to give birth and nurse the baby Jesus.All those who believe God's word are called ' blessed ' and what God has promised in the Bible will certainly be fulfilled in their lives. It is better to believe in God's word than to believe in man's word. God has wonderful plans for each one of us !
