Feast of the Holy Innocents, martyrs
1 John.1:5-2:2
But if anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father,
Jesus Christ the righteous one.
He is expiation for our sins,
and not for our sins only but for those of the whole world.
Jesus Christ the righteous one.
He is expiation for our sins,
and not for our sins only but for those of the whole world.
Mathew 2:13-18
When Herod realized that he had been deceived by the magi ( wise men from the East ),
he became furious.
He ordered the massacre of all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity
two years old and under,
in accordance with the time he had ascertained from the magi.

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Innocents. These innocent children unintentionally become martyrs for Christ. Evil knows no reason. It unleashes its fury and wrath even on innocent people. We see this happening all the time around us when innocent people are killed in accidents and in natural disasters, most of which are man-made. But faith tells us that a reward awaits all of them from a just and a loving God. God is aware of all these things and is in complete control ; but the only thing is, He allows these sad and unfortunate things to happen for a reason which for the time being we cannot understand.
Each one of us is precious in the eyes of a loving God, otherwise He would not have sent His only Son to die on the cross for all of us.
God Bless.
