THE TRIUMPH OF CHRISTPaul Dhinakaran
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. (Romans 16:20)
Lord Jesus came into this world to give you victory. He came just to destroy the work of the devil. He triumphed over him on the cross and made a public spectacle of him. This truth is disclosed in the following Bible verse: “Having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross” (Colossians 2:14,15).
The Scripture reveals, “Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death-- that is, the devil--and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death” (Hebrews 2:14, 15). According to the previously-mentioned Scripture verse, the Lord destroyed the devil and the death on the Cross. Through His death, He broke the power of death. That is why He declares, “In My name they will drive out demons” (Mark 16:17). The God of peace will crush Satan under your feet (Hebrews 13:20; Romans 16:20). When Lord Jesus Christ dwells in your heart as the Prince of Peace, He will deliver you from all kinds of bondages.
Many years ago, my father Bro. D. G. S. Dhinakaran visited a city to preach the Gospel. It was his practice to pray at the feet of God to receive His message before he goes to preach. So, he knelt down and prayed before going to the meeting. Suddenly, his throat got choked and he could not speak at all. He did not know what to do and a kind of fear gripped him. He knew that thousands of people will gather in a few hours to listen to God’s message. Since he could not speak, he was really agitated.
It was at that moment a female devil appeared before him and said, “I am the presiding deity of this city. I will not allow you to talk about God in this city. I am the one who has blocked your throat.” My father was not at all bothered about the threat of the devil. Instead, he looked only at Lord Jesus and cried out to Him saying, “Lord of Peace, come into me and come with me. Please have mercy on me and help me. Please make me a channel of blessing to the multitudes of people.”
Immediately, Lord Jesus appeared before him. The love that flowed from His face, filled the heart of my father. All his fear vanished and he was filled with the joy and peace given by the Lord. At that very moment, the devil ran away from that place and immediately my father’s throat opened. The Lord Himself gave him the message. When he spoke those words to the people of that city with the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the devils were driven out of the people and they saw a great light. There was great joy in that city that day.
Dearly beloved, the Lord will do this to you also. He will go before you this year and fill you with great joy. He will drive the demons out. You will absolutely have no hurdles. He will grant you the hidden treasures and riches from darkness. The Lord will crown this year with goodness for you; and He will honour you. The Lord who goes before you joyfully this year, will certainly enable you to enjoy His abundant blessings.
Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus,
You are all-powerful. There is none like You. Nothing can stop You from fulfilling your plans. You have already defeated the devil and death through your sacrifice on the Cross. I invite You to live in my heart. I claim my victory in your powerful name. Deliver me from my bondages. Remove all the hurdles and enable me to enjoy your abundant blessings.
