DAILY MEDITATIONS  # 27, Friday 23.12.11

Thus says the Lord GOD:
Lo, I am sending my messenger
to prepare the way before me;       Malachi 3;1

But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid,^* Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall name him John. Luke 1;1314

So they made signs, asking his father what he wished him to be called. 
He asked for a tablet and wrote, "John is his name,"
and all were amazed.
Immediately his mouth was opened, his tongue freed,
and he spoke blessing God. Luke !:62-64

Zachariah did not believe the message of the angel and so God made him a deaf mute for the time being. When Zachariah wrote the word of God he was immediately  healed and he started praising God. This is the first healing miracle recorded in the Gospel of Luke. Just by uttering the word of God miracles take place, The healing power of God is manifested through His Word whether spoken or written. God speaks to us in various ways and by believing His Word our lives gets transformed
