THINGS OF GREAT VALUE   Ron Walters Diamonds. They're the stuff dreams are made of. They star in Hollywood's biggest movies. Countries go to war over them. They're the fixation of many a miner and pick. They're relatively small, but they always gather a crowd. From the world's largest (512 carat in the Crown Jewels of England) to a minute speck mounted on a bride's gold band. It's considered the nearest thing to "priceless" we have. Not so, says the Bible! Four things are of greater value than a sea of diamonds, a river of gold, or a mountain of silver. They are: Wisdom " . . . for it is more precious than jewels and nothing you desire compares with it." God's Words & Works " . . . they are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold." An Excellent Wife " . . . for her worth is far above jewels." Personal Reputation "A good name is to be more desired than great riches; favor is better than silver and gold." Most of us have been blessed with some of these. We are an honored group. Much of every day is spent to protect these treasures, and with good cause. Throughout time, the enemies of God have deliberately attempted to discredit and destroy these four. They are of inestimable value. No doubt, you have various safeguards for protecting your treasures and those of your people.   Prayer of thanksgiving to God is one safeguard.
