CHILD-LIKE FAITH

FAITH IS TO BELIVE WHAT WE DO NOT SEE, AND THE REWARD OF FAITH IS TO SEE WHAT WE BELIEVE. ! St. Augustine   This is a true story. In a certain village there were no rains for a long time.The fields were dry,there was no water to drink and people were worried. The local parish priest together with the elders planned a prayer meeting seeking God's mercy for rains.So the parish priest asked the people to come with plenty of faith and also to bring along faith objects to the prayer session that day. The people came with hope and brought with them faith objects such as prayer books,bibles,rosaries etc. Soon after the prayer was over, suddenly the sky opened up and there was a heavy down pour of rain. The people rejoiced and thanked God lifting up their faith objects to the sky as though in thanksgiving.From the middle of the crowd one faith symbol seemed to be more noticed than the others.A small nine- year-old girl had brought only an umbrella and was holding it up ! This is the stuff of faith.    , "I'm telling you, once and for all, that unless you return to square one and start over like children, you're not even going to get a look at the kingdom, let alone get in. Whoever becomes simple and elemental again, like this child, will rank high in God's kingdom." Mathew 18:3
