A FAITHFUL MAN WILL ABOUND WITH BLESSINGS

Todays Message

BEING BLAMELESS

- Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

The Dhinakarans

In the Bible we read about many devout persons who led a blameless life. David was an ordinary man like us. Since he lived a blameless life before God he received countless blessings from Him. The Lord Himself testified about David saying, "I have found David son of Jesse a man after My own heart" (Acts 13:22). The Psalmist says, "I will be careful to lead a blameless life – when will You come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart" (Psalm 101:2). The Lord also testified about Moses that he was faithful and a beloved of the Lord (Numbers 12:7; Hebrews 3:2, 5). About Job He said that he was blameless, upright, feared God and shunned evil (Job 1:1, 8).

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, "Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel; from each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, every one a leader among them." So Moses sent them from the Wilderness of Paran according to the command of the LORD, all of them men who were heads of the children of Israel. Caleb the son of Jephunneh the head of the tribe of Judah and Joshua the son of Nun from the tribe of Ephraim were among those who were sent to spy the land that God promised to give His children.

And they returned from spying out the land after forty days. They came back to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel in the Wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh; they brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. Then they told him, and said: "We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. "Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there.

Caleb gave a good report. It is stated in the Bible that Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it" (Numbers 13:30). 'Surely none of the men who came up from Egypt, from twenty years old and above, shall see the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, because they have not wholly followed Me. Except Caleb son of Jephunneh. He will see it, and I will give him and his descendants the land he set his feet on, because he followed the Lord wholeheartedly" (Deuteronomy 1:36; Numbers 32:11, 12).

When we too shun all evil and lead a righteous life with the fear of God, then we too shall earn a good name in society as blameless people. Then the Lord shall also bless our family life. These days there is no joy between husband and wife and there is no unity between parents and children. But the Lord is able to transform you as blameless people and prosper your life even though you live under difficult circumstances. When the Lord says something He shall certainly do it. Because He says that, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away" (Matthew 24-35). On this day, cling to God always and claim the promises that He has given you. Be assured of His blessings for you and your household.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

Help me to lead a blameless life giving priority to You and Your kingdom. You have promised to add every blessing in my life when I look up to You for everything. Please enable me to be cling on to You always so that I can be a source of blessings not only to myself but to others as well. Guide and guard me in all that I set my hands to work upon. Protect me under Your mighty wings and make me glad on this day.

In Your precious name I pray.

Amen
