and he will sustain you;
he will never let the righteous fall.
Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
Turn your burdens over to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will never let the righteous person stumble. Our LORD, we belong to you. We tell you what worries us, and you won't let us fall. Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail).
Pile your troubles on God's shoulders—
he'll carry your load, he'll help you out.
He'll never let good people
topple into ruin.
But you, God, will throw the others
into a muddy bog,
Cut the lifespan of assassins
and traitors in half.
And I trust in you. The operative words in this psalm is "cast, give" , "always takes care, always sustains" , "righteous, godly, good, trust". God wants us to surrender all our problems and worries to him.Once something is surrendered we no longer worry about it,because now the matter belongs to God.But the initiative to surrender lies with us. God always helps us. He always sustains us. This is guaranteed. God helps the righteous. Here in this context the meaning of righteous is, all those who completely depend and trust in God.It does not mean saints or virtuous persons.It means ordinary god-fearing people like you and me. Once you give your problem to God in faith, you should not worry about it. God in his own time will always solve all of your problems. This is guaranteed by God himself.
