PROMISE OF THE DAY

The Message Version says   "If you'll hold on to me for dear life," says God,       "I'll get you out of any trouble.    I'll give you the best of care       if you'll only get to know and trust me.    Call me and I'll answer, be at your side in bad times;       I'll rescue you, then throw you a party.    I'll give you a long life,       give you a long drink of salvation!"   The Amplified Version says   "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness--trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never]."    Contemporary English Version says    "The Lord says,    "If you love me    and truly know who I am,    I will rescue you    and keep you safe."   The above 4 translations of Psalm 91:14 gives tremendous comfort to all of us who love God ,know Him and depend on Him.   Let us love God totally above everything else and above everyone else because He is  our father and mother and because finally we are going to be with Him.   When we love somebody we would like to have a very intimate relationship with that person. Intimacy is attained when we come to know that person deeply.Let us fellowship with God and know Him through constant prayer and through His Word.   When we love somebody we surrender ourselves to that person and become completely dependent on that person, so much so that we even begin to imitate and act like that person whom we love.We become one with that person.Let us obey and please God in everything. When our relationship with God is on the above terms, will He not love us passionately ? Will He not protect and rescue us without fail ? Will He not give us the best of care in times of trouble ? Will He not answer us and be at our side in bad times ? Will He not keep us safe always ? Will He not keep you happy and joyful ? Will He not give you long life ? Will He not provide you with final perseverance and salvation ? Will He not prosper you and give you success in this world ? Will He not ......?  Will He not........?  Will He not..........?  Will He not do many,many more things for you because He loves you so madly, so madly that He gave his Life for you on the cross knowing fully well that each time you sin, you rebel and reject HIm ?   Will you now trust your God, your Saviour, your Lover ? Touch your heart and look at Him because He is looking at you with love.   God is Love   THIS IS THE PROMISE OF EVERYDAY
